Our group is especially for visually impaired people who would like to experience an afternoon at the theatre in good company and be well looked after by very helpful theatre staff
We visit His Majesty’s Theatre, Rosemount Viaduct, Aberdeen whenever an audio described performance is taking place. This is usually a Saturday afternoon matinee. Please note we cannot provide transport to and from the theatre, so we ask our members to make their own travel arrangements.
As a group, we go along to enjoy the performance. Our aim is to make the visit as enjoyable as possible for our members. Audio-description is delivered through a head-set, giving detailed information and scene by scene commentary from a dedicated team of audio describers. A free “Touch Tour” is usually available before a show for those who would like to go backstage and get close up to costumes, props and scenery (Highly recommended!). If you haven’t been to His Majesty’s Theatre because you didn’t want to go alone, then this is the group for you. All booking arrangements are done by us, just turn up, relax and enjoy the show.
Please contact NESS and leave your contact details with Reception and we will call you back
There are no extra costs to our members, above the discounted ticket price of each show quoted on our booking form. We do require prompt payment for all bookings. There is a limited number of audio-described seats, therefore high demand shows need to be booked well in advance and cannot always be guaranteed.
