We know that many people now download audio books or access them on a USB stick. However, if you still have a device which plays CDs, why not borrow additional books from our audio libraries? As Linda Fachie, our Voluntary Services Officer, says: “If you are an avid reader like me, I know I never have
enough books to keep me occupied.” Over 2,300 audio book titles are available through the drop-in libraries in our Aberdeen and Elgin Resource Centres, and we can post CDs direct to your home free of charge. As Linda explains, “Our library has an extensive selection of fiction and non-fiction titles available by well known and loved authors. We have gripping crime stories by Peter May, Ian Rankin, Stuart MacBride, Val McDermid and Michael Connelly, to name but a few. Our general fiction selection features both historic and modern day novels by authors such as Len Deighton, Ken Follett, Jojo Moyes, Jodi Picoult and Lucinda Riley.
If you prefer non fiction we offer a varied selection of special interest books, and biographies by well-known people such as Nelson Mandela, Paul McCartney and John Bishop. We are constantly adding new books to our library.”
