The Impact
Your gift could fund:
- £100 = 5 Children from our Young People’s Sensory Service (YPSS) could experience a horse-riding session, improving their spatial awareness, confidence and social skills.
“The kids love it and feel very included when they’re all together doing these activities. We’ve been so fortunate being members of NESS, we’ve made brilliant friends and receive great support.”
- £1,000 = Accessible IT equipment for use by our ICT Officers, when running training workshops. This additional equipment makes it easier for people to borrow to try out at home before deciding what to buy.
- £5,000 = Volunteer recruitment, training and expenses for one year for our social and activity groups – supporting our elderly service users to feel less isolated and build friendships. These groups are accessible to all, thanks to our invaluable volunteer drivers.
“The fact we can get transport makes such a difference. Without this, I would be quite isolated.”
- £12,000 = Our Employment Service delivery costs for three months, ensuring that our service users can enter, remain or return to employment with confidence and follow a career path that is right for them.
- £20,000 = Our Hospital Information Service costs at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for six months – supporting patients at the point of diagnosis, and helping them cope with their sensory loss on their own terms.
