Take One Action Film Festival

Update on Take on Action Film Festival – 11th October 2022

Unfortunately, due to the closure of the Belmont Filmhouse, the Take One Action Film Festival is not showing in Aberdeen. They hope to show films in Aberdeen later in the year

The UK’s leading global change film festival returns to Aberdeen, bringing three days of inspiring film screenings and conversations to Belmont Filmhouse between 23rd-25th October 2022. All films will have descriptive subtitles, and two will have audio description available. Descriptive subtitles, sometimes called
closed captions, display not only what someone is saying but also tell the viewer about other sound-based parts of the film, for example [door slamming] or [kettle boiling]. This makes the film fully accessible to people who are Deaf or hard or hearing.
